Case study

Eight senior fund-accounting hires in one season.

In one concentrated hiring period, Emerald filled eight VP and Director-level fund-accounting seats across major fund administrators. The work was market mapping and title calibration. Volume did not lower the bar.

What was filled

The eight seats were fund accounting, at VP and Director level, and they sat across major fund administrators. “One season” is the public timing. It was a concentrated hiring period, not a claim about a single firm or a single chair filled eight times.

Repeat hiring was part of the work. Several seats in a short window only stay honest if the profile stays the same. Emerald calibrated the title against the work, rather than widening the search because another seat had opened.

How the bar stayed where it was

The market was mapped before names were sent: administrators, the funds around them, and the accounting firms that feed both. Must-haves were applied to that map. A résumé that matched the words “fund accounting” was not, by itself, a submission.

Title calibration was the other half. A controller search and a fund-accounting preparer search are different levels of ownership. VP and Director were used because that was the level of the seats, not because a senior title makes a slate look busy.

Administrator names, which seat sat at which firm, compensation, and a calendar year beyond that one season are not on this page.
