What You'll Be Doing
As a Quantitative Researcher at Schonfeld, you will play a pivotal role in developing systematic equity investment strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Researching and developing predictive signals across global equity markets.
- Analyzing large-scale financial, fundamental, and alternative datasets.
- Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to identify investment opportunities.
- Designing, testing, and implementing systematic investment models.
- Conducting rigorous backtesting and performance analysis.
- Partnering with portfolio managers on signal development, portfolio construction, and risk management.
- Evaluating new datasets and identifying differentiated sources of alpha.
- Developing research tools and infrastructure to improve research efficiency.
- Monitoring live model performance and recommending enhancements.
- Presenting research findings to portfolio managers and investment teams.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Excellent understanding of probability, statistics, linear algebra, and optimization.
- Experience working with large datasets and quantitative research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex research findings clearly and effectively.
